With a wealth of experience in democracy development in the Middle East, Sujey Kallumadanda has transitioned to assisting private sector clients as well as working on development projects at a very high level. With offices in Iraq and Houston, Texas, Sujey Kallumadanda particularly focuses on assisting commercial ventures, including natural-resource extraction companies, seeking opportunities in Iraq and manages projects with international stakeholders in the US, the United Kingdom, and India.
Before he launched his own firm in 2015, Sujey Kallumadanda worked with Steptoe & Johnson LLP for two years, during which time he opened an office in Iraq and was tasked with developing new initiatives in the country's government and private sectors. At the same time, he was responsible for tracking and reporting political movements in Iraq and understanding their resulting risks, legal implications, and business opportunities.
Sujey Kallumadanda began fostering relationships in Iraq in 2009, when he began managing governance and public policy initiatives for the International Republican Institute in Washington, DC. He managed projects in the tens of million dollars and offered capacity-building services to Iraqi government officials concerning matters relating to decentralization, election laws, gender equality, and federalism. Prior to this, he spent the first six years of his career working closely with the US Congressional branches. He earned a juris doctor from Michigan State University and a master of laws from Georgetown University.
